Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines for Submission

1. Submission Process

  • Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through the NNJP submission system.
  • Manuscript Types: Original research, reviews, short communications, case studies, and book reviews.

2. Manuscript Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • Spacing: 1.5 line spacing.
  • Margins: 1-inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Page Numbers: Number all pages consecutively.

3. Title Page

  • Title of the manuscript.
  • Full name(s) of author(s) and affiliations.
  • Corresponding author’s contact info (email and phone).

4. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: 250 words max.
  • Keywords: 3-5 relevant keywords.

5. Main Text

  • Sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.
  • Tables/Figures: Include numbered tables and figures with captions.

6. References

  • Use APA 7th Edition style for citations.

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Ethical approval from a review board is required for studies involving human participants.
  • Provide informed consent and disclose any conflicts of interest.

8. Peer Review

  • Manuscripts undergo peer review. Expect feedback within 4-6 weeks.

9. Publication Fees

  • There are no submission fees. Open-access publication may incur fees.

10. Final Submission

  • Submit the final revised manuscript after peer review, adhering to the journal’s formatting requirements.

Experimental Psychology

This section emphasizes research conducted through controlled experiments to explore the relationships between variables. It covers various topics such as perception, learning, conditioning, motivation, and the development of new research methodologies. Experimental psychology plays a crucial role in understanding cause-and-effect relationships in human behavior and cognition.

Cross-Sectional Research in Psychology

This section is dedicated to studies examining psychological phenomena across different populations or groups at a single point in time. It may focus on age differences, cultural variations, or comparisons between clinical and non-clinical groups, shedding light on how different factors influence psychological processes in diverse settings or contexts.

Qualitative Research in Psychology

Qualitative research in psychology focuses on exploring human experiences, behaviors, and emotions through non-numerical data. This approach seeks to understand the meaning and context behind individuals' thoughts, actions, and interactions, providing rich insights into psychological phenomena. Psychometrics

This section focuses on the theory and application of psychological measurement. It includes research on the development, validation, and improvement of psychological tests and assessment tools. Topics covered may involve reliability and validity analysis, test construction, item response theory, and statistical methods for evaluating psychological data. This section is integral to ensuring that psychological assessments provide accurate and meaningful results.

Educational Psychology

Educational psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on understanding how people learn and develop in educational settings. It seeks to apply psychological principles to improve teaching, learning, and overall educational outcomes. Social Psychology
