Submit Your Research to Nature-Nurture Journal of Psychology (NNJP)
At NNJP, we are committed to providing a streamlined, supportive, and rigorous submission experience. Our publishing workflow is carefully designed to guide authors seamlessly from initial manuscript submission to final publication while upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and editorial independence. Here is how our submission process works:
Step 1: Register Your Account (or Log In)
Begin by registering for a free account on our Open Journal Systems platform. If you are already registered, log in to access your personalized author dashboard, where you can submit new manuscripts, manage revisions, and track your article’s real-time progress through the editorial workflow.
Step 2: Select Your Article Type
Choose the appropriate manuscript category for your work such as original empirical research, systematic reviews, theoretical explorations, or specialized clinical case studies—to ensure proper alignment with our journal's scope and targeted peer-review assignment.
Step 3: Prepare and Upload Your Manuscript
Upload your blinded manuscript file, title page containing full author affiliations and ORCID iDs, and all required supporting documentation (including data-sharing statements, ethics approval files, and supplementary tables or figures) in compliance with our Author Guidelines.
Step 4: Supplementary Enhancements & Reviewer Suggestions
- Supplementary Materials: Enhance your research by linking external datasets, reproducible code repositories, or complementary multimedia files to support transparency and open science practices.
- Reviewer Recommendations: Authors may suggest qualified, independent academic reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise (while the editorial board retains full discretion over final reviewer selection to maintain strict double-blind peer-review integrity).
Step 5: Initial Editorial Triage & Screening
Upon submission, your manuscript undergoes an initial technical and editorial screening by the editorial office (typically within 15–20 days) to assess scope adherence, structural formatting, plagiarism screening, and ethical compliance.
Step 6: Rigorous Peer Review
Qualifying manuscripts are assigned to independent domain experts under a strict double-blind peer-review model (where both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous). Authors receive structured, constructive feedback through our secure editorial management system in accordance with our median review timelines.
Step 7: Acceptance, Production & Open Access Publication
Following successful completion of revisions and final editorial approval, accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, XML formatting, and typesetting. Articles are then published immediately online with a unique Crossref DOI, featuring full open access under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
Step 8: Indexing, Archiving & Global Visibility
Your published article is immediately transmitted to our long-term digital preservation partners (PKP PN, LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS) and indexed across major international academic databases to maximize global research discoverability and citation impact.
Step 9: Post-Publication Engagement
Stay connected with the academic community after publication. NNJP supports ongoing scholarly discourse by enabling post-publication metrics tracking, reader commentary, and opportunities to share follow-up findings or methodological updates related to your work.
